My practice evolves from the examination of relationships, the questioning of social norms and ultimately the search for new ways of being together. I use voice and movement to explore trust, control and care between people. With a self-deprecating humor, I aim to release preciousness of self while inviting reflections on our self/selves (both as individuals and as communities). I focus on the interactive roles of spectator and performer in an attempt to not only dissolve hierarchical relationships and question customs of power but to also construct new ways of connecting and co-existing. Will you dance with me?
